About two and a half years ago my 4-year old son decided he wanted to take martial art lessons after seeing a demonstration at the local mall. After many calls and visits we decided to enroll him at Master Gorino's Tae Kwon-Do. Master Gorino's professionalism and way of teaching children was the main factor in our decision. My son really enjoyed the lessons and the way Master Gorino and the S.W.A.T team members made his classes fun. My son continued to progress and after about six (6) months of training was invited to join the Black Belt Club and Demo Team. He was so excited I couldn't keep him away from the dojang. During this time as I watched the classes from the lobby I always thought, "boy that looks like fun, I wish I could do that." With some urging from Master Gorino to come to a trial class I finally decided to give it a try. That was all I needed. I was hooked! I have been here almost two years now and Tae Kwon-Do has become a way of life for my son and I. At 43 I may not kick as high as some of the younger kids but it is a great workout and it helps keep me flexible and active. We have met some of the greatest people at the school that I am proud to call my friends. I know I will continue to train for many years to come and I am looking forward to the journey to Black Belt and beyond.

For the last five months, I have been fortunate to be a student at Master Gorino's Pil-Sung Tae Kwon-Do. Initially, I was looking for physical fitness and stress management but I have found so much more! I feel more confident in myself and stronger, both physically and mentally. I have also found a home away from home. Everyone, staff and fellow students, are friendly and helpful. We are all respectful of one another and always ready to lend a helping hand. Master Gorino is positive, encouraging and inspirational when teaching. He leads by example, always displaying respect, discipline and confidence.

I find Tae Kwon-Do to be a powerful yet beautiful art which I am proud to be a part of. Some days in the dojang are more challenging, even frustrating, than other days but they are a welcome challenge! I am reminded daily that mastery is an ongoing process. Tae Kwon-Do is something I do for me, after all I'm the one wearing the uniform, patches and belt, which represent my accomplishments. Who would have thought at 36 with two children, a husband and a career I would have found Tae Kwon-Do? Certainly not me but I'm thankful that I did! In fact, I'm proud to say my daughters are following in my footsteps. My nine year old will test soon for her yellow stripe and my five year old participates in the tiger program. There is a saying, "Tae Kwon-Do is a way of life." I'm happy it's a part of mine!

Hi, my name is Carol Mogavero

My son Paul (15), daughter Rebecca (9), and myself have been taking classes at Master Gorino's School of Tae Kwon-Do since May 2001. I have always been interested in Tae Kwon-Do but I always found excuses to not to try it. I knew I needed to loose some weight and get into shape but didn't know how. All of the exercise tapes and exercise machines bored me so I wouldn't follow through with them. One day I was surfing the Internet and since I have always wanted to learn Tae Kwon-Do, I looked up schools and found Master Gorino's school of Tae Kwon-Do's web site. I was fascinated to learn how other people where getting into shape, improving their physical strength, building self confidence, learning how to defend themselves while having so much fun. I took my children and went down to Master Gorino's school to watch some of the classes. After watching the child class and an Adult class, I was amazed by the respect and excitement each of the students had for the class and for Master Gorino. My kids really enjoyed watching and said they wanted to do it too. We signed up for the trial classes. Everyone at the school were very friendly and helpful and they made us all feel very welcome. After taking the trial classes I started to loose weight, and I felt great. I had more energy than I have had in years and my kids loved it so we decided this is what we needed in our lives. Now I look forward to spending more time with my children in class and we practice together at home. It has brought us closer together as a family. We are learning how to kick, how to punch, along with various self defense moves. Each day is a different challenge in our lives that we over come with perseverance and strength, which all of us have learned from Master Gorino. I have lost 22 pounds, my body is getting into shape and my self-esteem has never been higher. Taking Tae Kwon-Do is best change I could have made in my life. Thank you Master Gorino! Pil-Sung!
